Think Spring Mosaic Giveaway Winner Has Been Announced

UPDATE:  Amy Sinning has won!  Thanks to all who participated.

Kansas City is still covered in about two feet of snow and I'm ready for Spring!!  To celebrate, I'm giving away this cute little mosaic daisy.  It's about 9" tall and 6" wide.  It's finished with pretty paper on the back and has a self leveling hook so it's ready for hanging.

Here's how you win the daisy:  Head on over to my mosaic Facebook page HERE.  Leave a comment on any picture in the Think Spring Mosaic Giveaway photo album (the one with the white mosaic daisy) and your name will be entered into a drawing to win the daisy.  Only one entry per person no matter how many comments you leave.  Shipping is on me, even for an international winner because I love all of my international friends!!  The winner will be drawn tomorrow around 5:00 p.m. Central Time.  Thanks so much for your support of my art and good luck!

Zaarly Bazaar

I joined up with Zaarly, a really cool community site, back in November.  You can see my profile HERE.  Yesterday, I attended my second Zaarly Bazaar, an event where they bring together a bunch of Zaarly vendors and some really cool customers and everybody just talks about what they do and has a good time.  Here's a pic of my table.

I brought Cindy's mosaic letter "D" as a sample.

I did a couple of three leaf shamrocks.

This watering can was the first thing to sell.

Somebody took home the little pink teapot, too.

The stag head is going to the Phoenix Gallery on Thursday provided I can get through the snow!

Same with the red daisy.

I had met Devon a couple of times before.  She's friends with Shelby, my awesome customer who buys mosaic animals for all of her friend's children's nurseries.  Devon makes delicious baked goods and candies.  Her storefront can be found HERE.

It's a small world.  Elysia is friends with my customers, Stephen and Kristina, who ordered from me over the holidays.  Elysia crochets all kinds of cool stuff with soft textures and beautiful colors.  Her storefront can be found HERE.

I love that the cornerstone of Zaarly is supporting local businesses.  It's a great community with great employees and I'm excited to be a part of it!!

Red Daisy

I've done a white daisy and a pastel blue one, so I decided a vibrant red was in order.  The others I've done have been much larger, about 22" tall.  This one measures about 17".  I love my jigsaw!!

I also finished up a custom letter D.

Tiny Pink Teapot

This one features a vintage earring and is packed with lots of pink broken dishes, buttons and beads.  (Sold, thanks!).

Old School Revisit

Old school revisit - I did this mosaic for a customer in 2006, the year I learned how to do mosaics. Her cat knocked it off of a counter and she wanted me to repair it. I asked her if I could make a new one and she just wanted me to fix this one. I asked her if I could put a hanger on the back and she just wanted me to fix it as-is. Flattering AND fun to be reunited with this piece that I did so long ago. My style has completely transformed.

I'm the Guy That Put the Bow in the Rainbow

 Fly Trans-Love Airways.

Jesus Christ.

Cluck it.

I heart NY.

Ready for a Little Spring

It's snowing like crazy in KC and school is closed again tomorrow.  I still have lots of work to do and knocked out this watering can today while dreaming of Spring.  (Sold at the Zaarly event.  Thanks!)

Leo the Lion

I call this Lion Leo because he's going into Leo's nursery.  I purposefully wanted a regal looking lion because it's a bit unexpected with the color theme and the fact that he's going into a child's nursery.  I really appreciate my customer, Shelby, who gives art as gifts time after time.  I think just about every new mom in her neighborhood has a mosaic animal in the baby's room.

Pushin Up Daisies

Just had a customer swing by to pick up this one.  She requested the blue and I think it turned out really cute!

I snuck in a custom four leaf clover.  This one is for the Flavin Family.
