Baby Heart Custom Mosaic

This is a custom job for Mamacita.  She gave me a bowl with the bunny focal piece and wanted her grandchildren's names in it.  I decided to do everything in hearts and the baby hearts are actually separate pieces.  I'm having lots of fun stacking and inlaying mosaic pieces like this!!

Val gave me an awesome box of dishes that included a blue lattice like plate.  It just sets off this piece.  Love it!!!

Leo the Lion

I call this Lion Leo because he's going into Leo's nursery.  I purposefully wanted a regal looking lion because it's a bit unexpected with the color theme and the fact that he's going into a child's nursery.  I really appreciate my customer, Shelby, who gives art as gifts time after time.  I think just about every new mom in her neighborhood has a mosaic animal in the baby's room.

Today's Customs!

I have a great new customer who asked me, "Can you make a mosaic animal for a girl's room in pink and brown?"  and then let me take it from there.  Here's what I came up with:

Giraffe hoof.

And this giant boot is sold and going to the Phoenix Gallery in Lawrence on Thursday.  My usual boots are 12" x 9".  This one is more like 14" x 10".  Very rustic and going to a home in Colorado where it will fit right in.

Mosaic Rhino
