The Finished Product

In my last post, I talked about a mosaic party I did for an 8 year old girl and her sisters and friends. These girls did an amazing job on their pieces! I am digging the birthday girl's rock and roll heart.

I've had dozens of mosaic students, all adults with the exception of just a few children around 11 and 12, so this was new to me. I brought pre-cut dishes organized by color and lots and lots of jewelry, buttons, and beads. After the girls glued their pieces, I took them home to grout. When I asked the girls who wanted glitter, they all shouted, "Meeeeeeee!!!!" If you're in the Kansas City area and interested in information about a mosaic party, please call me at 913.302.0690.

Mosaic Par-Tay

I had the pleasure yesterday of doing a mosaic party with my friend Lisa's eight year old and her sisters and friends!!!

Kate with her star . . .

Zoe with her heart . . .

The girls had so much fun digging through the buttons, beads, keys, jewelry and broken dishes.

Lisa's parents, Paul and Carol.

I've been friends with Lisa for well over 20 years and it was so much fun coming to her home and having this party. Pictures of finished pieces coming soon!
