I ventured over to Mission Hills early this morning to set up the table I designed for this event to benefit the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired. I am flattered that Zaarly chose me to design the table on their behalf!! The theme was "bloom", so I decided on lots of fresh greens and whites.
In keeping with the theme, each place setting featured a mosaic leaf with an inspirational word.
The fern fronds in mason jars with green glass cubes added some visual interest without being too obtrusive.
The mosaic coffee pot was auctioned off. The woman who won it gave me a hug as we were breaking down the table - so glad she liked it!!
Another view of the table.

Tables That Bloom Preview
Tomorrow, I'll set up my table, sponsored by Zaarly, for the Tables That Bloom fundraiser for the visually impaired. I am intimidated by floral arranging, but how could I go wrong with tulips and hydrangeas?!
Each plate will feature a mosaic leaf with an inspirational word. I made eight, one for each table setting, and no two are alike.
This is one of three flowers that will lay flat on the table around the pedistal.
Fresh fern frond at each table setting.
White tulips and white hydrangeas!!
Another leaf preview, "LOVE".

Flower Power
Awhile back, I made a giant sunflower, about 24" tall. This one is much smaller, only about 15" tall. It's going to be part of a centerpiece for a fundraiser I'm doing with Zaarly on Thursday. After Thursday's event, it will be for sale, $62. Please contact me if you're interested and I can guide you through ordering on Zaarly - it's a really easy site to use and has dozens of storefronts with local business owners who can provide anything from lawn mowing to hand crafted art!

Zaarly Bazaar
I joined up with Zaarly, a really cool community site, back in November. You can see my profile HERE. Yesterday, I attended my second Zaarly Bazaar, an event where they bring together a bunch of Zaarly vendors and some really cool customers and everybody just talks about what they do and has a good time. Here's a pic of my table.
I brought Cindy's mosaic letter "D" as a sample.
I did a couple of three leaf shamrocks.
This watering can was the first thing to sell.
Somebody took home the little pink teapot, too.
The stag head is going to the Phoenix Gallery on Thursday provided I can get through the snow!
Same with the red daisy.
I had met Devon a couple of times before. She's friends with Shelby, my awesome customer who buys mosaic animals for all of her friend's children's nurseries. Devon makes delicious baked goods and candies. Her storefront can be found HERE.
It's a small world. Elysia is friends with my customers, Stephen and Kristina, who ordered from me over the holidays. Elysia crochets all kinds of cool stuff with soft textures and beautiful colors. Her storefront can be found HERE.
I love that the cornerstone of Zaarly is supporting local businesses. It's a great community with great employees and I'm excited to be a part of it!!

Bully Bully
More mosaics that have gone to Lucky Paws in Lawrence. Raven has the cutest dogs and one is a pit bull. I put together this plaque with a fun little pit bull figurine.
And a "FETCH" dog bone.
It's a busy weekend in the studio. Working on ornaments - ginger bread men, Christmas lights, and a bell. Trying to get some things together for a Zaarly event on Tuesday night.

Special Delivery
I dropped off the tribute piece I talked about in my last post to Emily today. She and her sister were really excited and I felt so honored that they entrusted me with this special piece! If you would like to place a custom order, you can do so through my Zaarly profile HERE. I take pride in collaborating with my clients so that I can create something unique and special. Here's a pic of the girls with the plaque featuring their great grandmother, Mary.

Zaarly.com!
I am very excited to have been invited to join Zaarly.com, a community website that has just come to KC. Zaarly offers a way for people to connect to find the things they need. The site features local artists, mechanics, handymen, chefs, etc. The KC site went live yesterday and I've already received my first order! Here's the link to my page and thanks for your support: https://www.zaarly.com/kellyaaronmosaics
