Mosaic Therapy

My brother commissioned me to do a frame for his wife and wanted me to feature this picture of my nephew, so needless to say, this was a pretty fun project.

"Amma" is mommy in Malayalam, one of the languages spoken in southern India where my sister-in-law's family is from. I have a real appreciation for people who are multilingual and I think it's very cool that my nephew is exposed to more than one language. (While in Spain, I hung out with a 14 year old beyond her years who speaks four languages!)

And I wanted this frame to be from Kiran's point of view - playful and lively. I found this lizard on a shopping trip this week with Nina.

And the way the marbles cascade down the side of the frame is very child-like.

Doesn't get much cuter than this!!!
