I've watched three seasons of Downton Abbey in less than a week, so maybe I'm feeling a little more sentimental than usual, but I love the idea of a newly wed couple building their home and life together, so I included this dish.

And this one.

I hope my customer's daughter enjoys this R as much as I enjoyed making it!

Another Giant Veggie

I had asked Facebook followers awhile back to suggest more giant veggies.  My sister-in-law and my buddy, Elle, wanted to see an eggplant.  This one measures about 20" tall by 10" at the widest point.  Eggplant parm, anyone?  You can like my Facebook page HERE.  Next up, a giant pea pod.  Let me know if you'd like to see a giant veggie in mosaic form.

4 and 20 Blackbirds

This one is big - about 2 feet tall.  It's packed with lots of black broken dishes, buttons and beads and has just landed in my living room.  We're sitting by the fire watching the finches at the feeder on this 27 degree Spring day.

Happy 44th!!

I made this letter D for my parent's 44th wedding anniversary.  I didn't want it to end up brown, but I did add some fun dark brown dishes and buttons to the white and cream.

Outhouse

One of my friends liked my toilet plaque, but wanted me to do an outhouse for her husband whose name happens to be John.  Perfect.

Cream and White Vase

I recently threw a party and I was using the ice bucket in my last post.  Some friends wondered if I could recreate the same style in a vase.  Thanks to my buddy, Scott, for giving me the vase base back in January.  I tell my friends THANK YOU for giving me things like this because I USE THEM!!  I think this really came together by leaving the bands on the top and bottom exposed.

Mosaic Ice Bucket

I've done several of these and they are always lots of fun.  I also like them because they're functional and I try to keep a couple on hand to use for my own parties.  This one has a porcelain "cold" water faucet handle.
