I'm back home and trying to get organized after the Country Living Fair last week in Columbus, Ohio. Yesterday, I cleaned the house and today I'll plant some mums in between figuring out how to address some custom orders. Here are a few pics of my display. After doing the RAW show this summer, I got some grid walls of my own and was happy with the result.
Love my new Mosley Lane candles!
I didn't get much time to look around, but here's what I did see.
I just finished up this FAMILY heart that will go to an auction at Briarwood Elementary, my son's school. I wanted to make something that would fit into a myriad of decors and who doesn't love family?
Every once in awhile, I like to have someone over to do mosaics. I've been wanting to get together with Marcy, but with the Country Living Fair looming, I was pressed for time. So I combined the two and what resulted was a really fun time! And Marcy loved what she made and can't wait to grout it when I get back from the show.
Hello, friends. I'm getting ready to leave for the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio, September 14, 15 and 16. This is really exciting!! I did the Austin show in April and that was a first year show, but Columbus is the holy grail of Country Living shows, the oldest, the most established, I believe this is the ninth year. I am so glad I'm a part of it! I'll open the shop up when I get back around the 20th of September. Thanks for stopping by!
The inspiration for this mosaic birdhouse comes from the Twilight Zone episode, "The Man in the Bottle". It is set in a wonderfully packed and eclectic antique store. I used sea shells and pearls for the roof set in concrete, along with a large, metal bird. A cardinal stands watch, and chains of all sorts hang from the sides. The back features a small picture, originally for a doll house, that looks right at home in this bird antique store.
